Born in 1958, Wayne Isham has directed many music videos for various different artists in different genres from heavy rock (Metallica and Megadeth) and pop and chart (Britney Spears and Madonna). Working as a Director from 1985 to the present day, Isham has 92 music videos to showcase his work by.
Isham is most famously known for Metallica: S&M and Metallica: Cunning Stunts – both are live concert DVDs which also include a documentary. S&M was filmed in Texas, USA and was released in 1999. Cunning Stunts was released the following year. Pink Floyd: Delicate Sound of Thunder was also a concert DVD in which Isham is most known for. Wayne was lucky enough to direct the video You Are Not Alone on Michael Jacksons ‘HIStory on Film Volume 2’ DVD which was released in 1997.His ability to adapt to the wide range of music, artists and celebrity statuses makes him a great and employable Director.
The American Music Video Director has also ventured into other lines of work such as being a Cameraman for the live album, Caught in the Act by Styx, which was released in 1984. This was before any of his major Director work. In 1998 he also directed the feature film project “12 Bucks”.
Wayne Isham has been nominated for a Grammy award! This was for the Best Music Video category in 1990 for his work on Pink Floyds Delicate Sound of Thunder in 1989.
